The Principles of Vajra Yoga: Our view is that Buddhist meditation and philosophy can be an integral part of Hatha Yoga, not distinct from it. Our focus is to understand the mind and directly experience how it is expressed in the form of our body. By understanding the mind we create the necessary conditions for profound insight and inherent transformation. Without this rudimentary understanding of mind, yoga becomes little more than an exercise routine. We emphasize being a compassionate and helpful human being in the world. This outcome blossoms organically from understanding the nature of one’s own mind, heart and body. The School for Compassionate Action: Yoga & Meditation for Communities in Need is an outgrowth of our intention to take compassionate action in our communities. We would love for you to join us in helping others help themselves.
